Who we are

Matchbooked is run by its founders in Canada and the United States. We’re responsible for the information you give us here. Questions, requests or complaints go to our privacy contact at getmatchbooked@gmail.com.

Joining the waitlist

It’s free, and it’s for adults 18+ who live in the US. By writing your email on the napkin and sending it, you agree to receive emails from Matchbooked about your invitation. It doesn’t create an account or guarantee an invitation, and you can leave anytime.

What we collect

Your email address, the date you joined, and which version of this page was live when you joined. We also check which country you’re connecting from, only to keep the waitlist to the US. We don’t keep your IP address. To keep bots out, Cloudflare’s bot check (Turnstile) looks at technical details from your browser and device to tell people from automated programs, and handles them under its own Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

What we use it for

To see how many people want an invitation, and later to email you when yours is ready, or to tell you if anything changes about how we use your email. That’s it: no newsletters, no ads.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell or rent your email. We only share it with the companies that help us run the waitlist, and only so they can do that job: Cloudflare (hosting and bot protection) and Neon (our database). When we start sending emails, we’ll add an email delivery provider and update this page first.

Where it’s stored

In the United States. If you’re in Canada, your information may be accessed by courts, law enforcement or national security authorities in the US under US law.

How long we keep it

Until you join Matchbooked, tell us you’re not interested, unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After that, we delete it within 30 days.

Keeping it safe

Your email is encrypted when it’s sent to us and while it’s stored, and only the founders can access the waitlist.

Your choices

Right now we don’t send any emails. When we do, every email will have an unsubscribe link, and we’ll honour it within 10 business days. You can also ask to see, correct or delete your information by writing to getmatchbooked@gmail.com. We’ll reply within 30 days.

Do Not Track

We don’t track you across other sites, and this site has no ad or tracking scripts. So we treat every visit the same, whether or not your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal. Like on any website, the services that send this page its fonts (Google Fonts) and part of its animation (jsDelivr) see your IP address when your browser asks for those files. They never get your email.

Changes to this page

The date at the top shows when this page last changed. If a change affects how we use your email, we’ll email you before it takes effect.
